This Data Protection Act 1998 governs the use of personal information by businesses and other organisations. If your business requires that you process people’s personal details, such as customer or employee records, then you must comply with the Act.
This course tells you what the law requires and gives advice on how to meet its requirements.
At the end of the course Delegates will understand their obligations under the ACT and have a good insight as to how to be responsible in the work place environment.

Target audience
The Introduction to Data Protection training course is suitable for all Employees who have not been involved with the Data Protection Act before. It is a non-technical course.
